Are you ready for Easter yet? The holiday falls on Sunday, April 17, this year and there is no shortage of community egg hunts and other events to look forward to this season. We’ve rounded up nine egg hunts perfect for the whole family.

1. Big Spring Egg Hunt

Head over to Big Spring Park for an Easter extravaganza hosted by Huntsville First United Methodist. The event will feature food trucks, Easter bunny photos, a petting zoo, live music from the Winslow Davis Ensemble and more.

2. Spring Fling on Main

Head to Main Street in Madison for the city’s first ever Spring Fling. Find food trucks, an egg hunt and all your favorite Main Street businesses, like Old Black Bear Brewery, Lemon & Lavender and Main Street Cafe.

3. Easter Egg Hunt @ Latham UMC

Latham United Methodist Church in South Huntsville is hosting snacks, crafts and an egg hunt with the Easter bunny on Saturday, April 9. Plus, the event is rain or shine, so you don’t have to worry about cancellation if there are April showers.

4. Easter Egg Hunts + Kite Flying

Bring your Easter basket and a kite to Pleasant Springs Baptist Church in Northeast Huntsville, because they’ll be hosting egg hunts and providing an opportunity to go fly a kite.

5. Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt

Spend your Sunday evening at Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Their flashlight Easter egg hunt is open to the public—grab dinner, complete a craft and see how many eggs your kiddos can find.

6. Easter Egg Hunt @ High Point

This one’s for the adults, too. Looking for something a little more challenging than the classic egg hunt? High Point Climbing and Fitness in MidCity has you covered. Head over on the evening of Friday, April 15 for an Easter egg climb—and cash in your finds at the end of the night for prizes.

7. Easter Jubilee 2022

For an old-fashioned Easter celebration, head to Burritt on the Mountain on Saturday, April 16. Normal museum admission will give you access to a range of Easter activities, including an egg hunt and themed treats.

8. Easter Celebration + Egg Hunt

The whole family is invited to Sherwood Baptist Church on Saturday, April 16 for an immersive Easter experience illustrating the Biblical story of Easter. Follow up with games and two egg hunts at 10:45AM and 11:30AM.

9. Easter Egg Hunt @ Madison UMC

Madison residents, head over to Madison United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 16 for snacks, an Easter bunny photo op, and age-divided egg hunts.
