The Huntsville City Football Club (HCFC) is currently looking for a replacement following current interim coach and former Scotland Hearts captain, Christophe Berra’s announcement that he will be leaving following the club’s next match.

A valuable experience from the HCFC

Berra told the press that he would be stepping down to accommodate for his growing family and return to Scotland after six months in the States.

July 10 is the HCFC’s match against the New England Revolution II, and will be Berra’s last game as interim head coach.

The Huntsville City FC has experienced two coaches leaving this year (HCFC)

Berra started as Assistant Coach in January of this year alongside former head coach, Jack Collison. The HCFC has had a difficult time with coaches this year with Collison only announcing his departure three months ago.

Berra shared his farewell announcement on LinkedIn and stated that his time in Huntsville has produced much growth and valuable experience both as a coach and as an individual.

It may have been a hard year for the HCFC, but I believe their best season is yet to come and that they will be on the rise. Soccer is one of this city’s favorite sports and we’re not going to let hardships this year keep us from growing.
