Here are 6 Easter sunrise services in Huntsville

Easter is this weekend, and many churches throughout the Huntsville area are hosting special sunrise services that are open to the public. On such a special day, being able to worship as the sun rises can only enhance the enjoyment of the holiday.
Here are a few services we recommend:
St. Joseph’s Catholic Church
St. Joseph’s will host an outdoor Easter Sunrise Mass at 6AM on Easter Sunday morning at Monte Sano State Park. This Mass is an annual Huntsville tradition celebrated by Father Joseph Lubrano, SDS. It is open to everyone who would like to attend.
It will be celebrated at the park’s overlook, which is near the small pavilion.

Shipps Baptist Church
Shipps Baptist Church is having a sunrise service at 6AM. The church is also hosting a play to celebrate the resurrection of Christ at 11AM and an Easter egg hunt afterwards.

Ascension Lutheran Church
Join Ascension Lutheran Church for a special Easter service at 6AM, followed by a breakfast. Worship services will also be held at 8AM and 10AM.

Word of Faith MB Church
Word of Faith in Athens is also hosting a sunrise service beginning at 5:30AM, led by Minister Rodney Malone.

His Way Recovery Center
His Way Recovery Center has made a tradition out of hosting an Easter Sunday sunrise service. This year, the service begins at 6:30AM with a breakfast to follow. Please RSVP here so they know how many to expect for the pancake breakfast.

Haven Church in Huntsville will also host a sunrise serve and a breakfast following the service.
