AVIQ
While primarily an equipment store, AVIQ is a great stop for analog enthusiasts. It is the southeast’s destination for high-end audio gear and rare, audiophile-approved recordings. AVIQ has a small but curated vinyl collection that caters to serious collectors with limited-edition pressings. It’s also home to a hi-fi listening and show room: perfect for a visit and a quick spin or two.

Huntsville Record Store Day 2026

Several locations across Alabama are holding special hours, activities and (of course) records this Saturday, April 18 for the annual and worldwide celebration of Record Store Day.
Vertical House Records is a participating record store for RSD 2026 and will be offering exclusive RSD pressings and releases. The store is keeping their usual hours for this event, but visitors will be let in 5 at a time.
You can check out what selections Vertical House has to offer on the Record Store Day website. Keep reading to learn more about the nationwide event.
What is Record Store Day?

Record Store Day (RSD) is an annual worldwide event held every April in celebration and support of independent record stores. The event brings together fans, artists, and thousands of indie shops.
The event features exclusive, limited-edition vinyl and CD releases, often including special pressings and never-before-released music, available at participating local shops.
Since the day’s founding in 2007, it has been declared an official holiday by several U.S. cities. Record Store Day 2026 is their largest event yet, and it is expected to grow even more. More about the event and its history can be found on the official RSD website.
Huntsville Vinyl Record Trail

Huntsville is also home to a Vinyl Record Trail (VRT), which invites vinyl shoppers to enjoy several different stores. People can complete the trail by visiting a local record store, picking up a VRT stamp card and receiving stamps (by making a purchase) from all shops on the trail.
Once the trail is completed, the finished card can be photographed and sent in, and those that complete the trail are awarded an exclusive VRT turntable slipmat. If you want to learn more about the VRT, check out our article with more extensive details on the trail.
