Increased passenger traffic prompts additional parking needs

This new parking deck is not just a random project. This is a necessity, as indicated by the ever-increasing passenger traffic at HSV. In fact, new passenger traffic records have been set in each of the last two years, with 2026 on pace to break last year’s record. As of June, 884,733 passengers have flown in and out of the airport this year.
May 2026 was the busiest month in the airport’s history in regard to passenger traffic, as more than 170,000 passengers traveled in and out of HSV.
