USA Today has released their article “Botanical bliss: Top 10 US gardens for plant lovers,” in which they have listed Huntsville Botanical Garden as the sixth best botanical garden in the U.S. This comes just weeks after Huntsville was named one of the South’s best cities on the rise by Southern Living.
USA Today editors took note of the garden’s vast plant life and its impressive ability to showcase our planet’s natural diversity.
What makes Huntsville Botanical Garden one of the best in the U.S.?
USA Today’s list was created based on a survey by readers that was narrowed down by an expert panel.
“This 118-acre Alabama botanical garden is open year-round and offers a variety of diverse ecosystems for guests of all ages to enjoy and explore. Opened in 1988, the garden includes a seasonal open-air butterfly house, a Dogwood Trail, a Fern Glade, 13 themed herb gardens, and a nature trail with paths through an indigenous lowland forest.”
