Madison Chamber gives Best in Business Awards, receives new accreditation

The Madison Chamber of Commerce held its annual Best in Business Awards ceremony this past weekend, honoring multiple businesses for their their accomplishments and impact on the City of Madison.

Here’s who came home with awards from the April 19 ceremony at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center:

  • Start-Up Business of the Year: Captured By Cristie, LLC
  • Best Non-Profit of the Year: Madison Street Festival
  • Best Retail Small Business of the Year (under 100 employees): Lemon & Lavendar
  • Best Service Small Business of the Year (under 100 employees): Brian Robinson Coaching
  • Best in Healthcare (doctor offices, dental offices, urgent care, etc.): Divine Expressions Family Dentistry
  • Best in Fitness & Wellness (fitness studios, spas, hair/nail salons, etc.): Burn Boot Camp
  • Spirit of Madison Award: Signalink, Inc.
  • Best Minority-Owned Business of the Year: Forever Grateful, LLC
  • Best in Food, Beverage, & Hospitality (restaurants, cafes, hotels, etc.): The Veggie

Other big news from the Madison Chamber

The Madison Chamber of Commerce this week received it official accreditation from the Alabama Accredited Chamber Program.

The Alabama Accredited Chamber Program is designed to promote public awareness of the intent of the chamber of commerce brand as a not-for-profit community development- based business membership organization by providing a peer review process of generally accepted chamber of commerce organizational benchmarks.

The Alabama Accredited Chamber Program looks at six standard topics:

  • Mission Focus
  • Professional Administration
  • Financial Management
  • Communications
  • Advocacy
