You have likely heard the phrase, “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks.” And in some respects, that might be true. But if you think it’s too late in life to pick up a new hobby, think again.

Music classes might traditionally be reserved for the young folks, but just because you are an adult doesn’t mean you can’t learn to play a musical instrument.

  • What: You can take all kinds of lessons at The Guitar Center, but we felt like focusing on the banjo, as we couldn’t find many folks who offered those lessons around town. Local musician Greg Staggs is a banjo master who can teach you the ropes.
