We have plenty of cool stuff going on in and around Huntsville this weekend. Of course, if you are a sports fan, there happens to be a particular football game going on Sunday, and there are some spots in town to watch that.

But otherwise, we have some more weekend suggestions here:

1. Framing the Future: A Black Photographers’ Gallery

Featuring the work of local Black photographers Dokk Savage, Neville Simpson, Miles K. Whitmore and Xavier Isaac Adams, this gallery shines a light on the narratives and artistry shaping our community today and tomorrow.

2. ‘SAVOR’ Art Exhibition

In partnership with 57 North Hampton, a non-profit organization providing mental health therapy and resources, The Curated Gallery is hosting an art exhibition titled “Savor: Experiencing Black Joy and Resilience,” which coincides with Black History Month and mental health awareness initiatives. 

3. ‘Six: The Musical’

A musical look at the wives of King Henry VIII, “Six” is the winner of 23 awards, including the 2022 Tony Award® for Best Original Score (Music and Lyrics) and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Musical.

4. Highly Suspect

Highly Suspect — consisting of twin brothers Rich and Ryan Meyer and Johnny Stevens — are hitting the road with a new album on the horizon, and coming to the Rocket City this weekend.

5. Creating Year-Round Curb Appeal

Learn how to boost your home’s curb appeal using sustainable, low-maintenance landscaping techniques. This class at Huntsville Botanical Garden will cover plant selection, design principles and eco-friendly practices to create a welcoming and attractive front yard.

6. Doggie Kissing Booth

Immerse yourself in a delightful atmosphere filled with music, laughter, and the chance to discover unique treasures from a variety of vendors.

8. Photography Hike at Monte Sano

Grab a camera and join the Land Trust of North Alabama at Monte Sano this weekend for a photography hike with Land Trust volunteer and photography enthusiast Bob Carroll.

9. Alabama A&M Basketball vs. Southern

The Alabama A&M women’s and men’s basketball teams are at home this weekend, hosting Southern University.

10. Single Valentine’s Pub Crawl
