Athens has already been listed among the fastest-growing cities in the state, and that means more housing is needed. Fortunately for those looking to rent in the city, a new $45 million luxury apartment complex has opened in Athens.

City officials held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Gateway Village this week, located at 16305 Athens-Limestone Blvd, Athens, AL 35611.

Here are a few quick facts about the new Gateway Village apartment complex:

  • Gateway Village offers 256 units in three buildings across 263,351 square feet.
  • This development features 136 one-bedroom apartments, 88 two-bedroom apartments, and 32 three-bedroom apartments. 
  • The apartment complex features stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, walk-in showers, bathtubs and covered porches. 
  • In addition to the 256 units, the amenities include a gated entrance, a sparkling pool with integrated splash decks, a fitness center, outdoor grilling and lounge equipment, a club room equipped with a kitchen, private resident workspaces, two bark parks, and a pet spa dog-washing station outside of the courtyard.
