NEW coffee shop coming to Madison + a coffee stand you can check out now

If you’ve been wondering when more coffee shops in Madison will open up, you’re in luck.
MAD Espresso is opening up a Madison spot soon, plus they currently have a coffee stand where you can get your favorite lattes now.
Spanish-owned + inspired
MAD Espresso is owned by a brother duo—Josh and Daniel Riggs. They are originally from Spain but moved to the U.S. with their family after high school.
Josh later returned to Europe, spending time in Spain and Germany—where he met his wife.
During his time in Europe, he observed various restaurants and bars, learning the craft of creating an intentional and personalized dining experience.
He and Daniel plan to make MAD Espresso move at the same pace as a Spanish coffee shop—a relaxing environment that encourages you to connect with others and stay as long as you want.
Serving lattes, teas, pastries + more
While Josh and Daniel are working on getting the location finished, they’ve set up a coffee stand. There, you can find Josh whipping up all your favorite lattes, cappuccinos and more.
They have a solid traditional coffee menu and make all of their syrups—honey lavender, maple bourbon, coconut, vanilla and others—from scratch. You can also find delicious seasonal drinks and teas, like matcha, London fog lattes and more.
Occasionally, you’ll also see some delicious pastries and baked goods from local small businesses. Recently, I snagged a couple of scones from Ginger Cat Baking at the MAD Espresso stand, and they were delicious.
Location at Oakland Springs coming soon
MAD Espresso will soon open up their location at Argento at Oakland Springs—stay tuned for the details on that. But here’s where you can find the coffee stand in the meantime (it’s actually right down from where the shop will be!):
