Why here? Why now?
The intention for this project is to enhance UAH students’ college experience and adapt to a growing city. UAH is partnering with Rieth Jones Advisors and PFM Financial Advisors to totally revamp what was the 58-acre plaza into a more modern hub with retail + entertainment options, commercial office spaces, student housing and a new research building.
UAH is embarking on this project in hopes of driving satisfaction up as well as student/faculty recruitment and retention.
“The Executive Plaza property presents UAH with a unique opportunity to provide more amenities for our students, faculty and staff. Huntsville is growing and our university must adapt to the needs of future students.”
Charles L. Karr, President of UAH
Significance of this executive plaza
For UAH students, this is exciting news. Even though there have been developments built up around Huntsville/Madison, there are none directly associated with UAH—adding just a little bit of inconvenience for Chargers.
College students’ ideal campus consists of everything being as convenient as possible, and these new plans will help make that into a reality. For more detailed plans on this project, read more here. What would you like to see as part of UAH’s new development?
