On February 13, officials broke ground on the Marriott Autograph Trilogy hotel in downtown Huntsville. This stunning hotel will be located on the southwest corner of the reconstructed parking garage on Monroe Street across from the Von Braun Center Propst Arena. Plus, it will bring significant revenue to Huntsville. Read on for all the details.

The Marriott Autograph Trilogy hotel will be an eye-catching building, showcasing eight floors, 150,000 square feet and 215 rooms. The project is among others intended to attract tourists and visitors.

Equipped with the Von Braun Center, Huntsville has the capacity to host many large conferences but needs more downtown hotels to accommodate guests.

“If you have a convention that draws in 2,000 people you can imagine what they’re gonna spend in restaurants and lodging. So, the taxes that will come from those types of visits is enormous to the city and it is of great interest to the city leaders.”

When the Marriott Autograph Trilogy hotel opens in late 2023 or early 2024, its Starbucks will displace the University of Alabama’s as the largest in the state. Spanning 2,800 square feet, the location will showcase a roomy interior and spacious outdoor seating.
