New restaurant in Madison among high-dollar building permits this week

Of the 15 new building permits issued this past week in Alabama for million-dollar-plus construction projects, six of them are for projects in the Huntsville area.
The largest of those projects is for a new upscale restaurant in Madison.
Cooper’s Hawk Winery + Restaurant coming to Madison
One of five Madison County projects receiving a permit this past week is the addition of a new restaurant coming to Madison. Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant, an Illinois-based chain specializing in five wines and an upscale dining experience, announced the new Madison location earlier this year — the company’s first Alabama location.
The restaurant will be located at Clift Farm and is expected to open by the end of the year. The $6.5 million project is led by Cosgrove Construction Inc.
