Seafood restaurant Catch 25 to open in former Below the Radar location
It’s almost been a year since we said goodbye to Below the Radar, one of Huntsville’s first and most beloved brewpubs. But, when one door closes, another one opens—AL.com reported that the location is soon to be home to Catch 25, a brand new seafood restaurant and brewpub.
Here’s what we know:
Below the Radar’s legacy continues
Fans of Below the Radar will be glad to know that the former home of the brewpub is going to a great use. The space, which occupies the bottom floor of the old Huntsville Times building on Holmes, has been split into two. One half will house Catch 25, while the other is said to be the new home of The Bakingtist, according to AL.com.
You’ll be able to find the new restaurant at 220 Holmes Ave NE, Huntsville, AL 35801.
More seafood for Downtown Huntsville
Fran Bolden and Jerrel Wynn, the creators of Catch 25, told AL.com that the restaurant will serve classic seafood favorites like king crab, oysters and more and hope to be open later this month.
Catch 25 joins an ever-growing group of restaurants in Downtown Huntsville, including
- Fellow seafood spot + oyster bar, Sea Salt
- Commerce Kitchen, one of my personal favorites
- Cotton Row, a Huntsville classic
- Mexican spot La Esquina Cocina
- BeeZr, another unique gastropub
- The Poppy + Parliament, Huntsville’s one and only British pub
BONUS: While you’re waiting for Catch 25 to open, try one of these seafood spots in Huntsville.
