As the weather heats up, it is time to switch from hot coffees to iced teas. We went around the Huntsville area to find some spring specials and iced drinks that you should try on a hot day.

Golden Matcha Mojito @ Gold Sprint

Gold Sprint is a favorite of our office, as it’s only a five minute walk away. At least one of us is there every day. We love the drinks, snacks and vibes of this chill coffee and work space.

Blazing Star @ One Eleven

One Eleven is a spectacular downtown dining spot. They have wonderful dining options on the menu, but their drinks don’t disappoint, either. When visiting for lunch, I looked through their mocktails section and ordered this beautiful drink—it was refreshing to the last drop!

Raspberry Matcha Lemonade @ Honest Coffee Roasters

Honest Coffee Roasters is a delicious downtown stop known for their house-roasted coffee beans. Don’t miss out on their other specialities, though. The drink we got was wonderfully refreshing!

What we ordered: 🍋 Raspberry Matcha Lemonade (matcha over lemonade, topped with raspberry syrup)

Stay for the Afterglow @ The Observatory Bar

We recently stopped by The Observatory, the new downtown balcony bar. We enjoyed several of their iced specialties and a few snacks. It is definitely a great addition to the downtown restaurant scene!

What we ordered: 🍹 Sunset Society Spritz (Aperol, rosemary honey syrup, bubbles + soda)

Briar Patch Brew @ Piper & Leaf Tea Co.

Piper & Leaf has been a refreshing Rocket City staple for years, and it carries a variety of teas for any season. My favorite, though, is when the weather gets warm enough to grab a refreshing iced tea. My favorite (seen above) is their Briar Patch Brew—it is the perfect drink to sip on during a sunny afternoon.

What we ordered: 💓 Briar Patch Brew (caffeine-free tea with berries, herbs + a hint of hibiscus)

Pistachio Iced Latte @ Qahwtea

Qahwtea is a new addition to the Huntsville café community, and they do not disappoint! Their authentic Yemeni coffee and pastries are delicious, and all of their offerings are served in a sleek and calming environment. It’s definitely worth a visit.

What we ordered: 💚 Pistachio Iced Latte (pistachio cream + syrup topped with authentic Yemeni espresso + a caramel drizzle)

Piña Colada + Blackberry Soft-serve Margarita @ El Molcajete

El Molcajete might not be on your radar for springtime drinks, but this is a stop you can’t miss. We dropped by for their soft-serve margarita, but there are plenty of other delicious options on the menu.

What we ordered: 🍹Blue Piña Colada + Blackberry Soft-serve Margarita (a blend of two soft-serve flavors topped with lime + pineapple)

Tea Time Matcha @ The Mallard Coffee Company

The Mallard is one of our team’s favorite “secret” spots. It is an adorable duck-themed coffee shop in the heart of downtown Decatur, and it serves delicious drinks and wonderful vibes. Their matcha is top-notch, too!

Blueberry Meadow @ Bus Stop Coffee

Bus Stop Coffee (located inside Green Bus Brewing) is a downtown spot to find coffee in the morning, and…other drinks in the evening. This dual-space coffee shop and bar is located in a beautiful spot in downtown Huntsville, so you can order your drink and head out to enjoy the nice weather!
