Starbucks has a big week in Huntsville

Starbucks is by far the most popular — if not the most successful — coffee shop chain in the world. And Huntsvillians do love their Starbucks, which is evident by all of the new Starbucks activity happening in the Rocket City this week.

A new location opened this week, and another got the go ahead to be built. Here’s what we know:

MidCity Starbucks

We published the announcement of the coming of a new Starbucks in MidCity back in November, and this week, the brand new location opened.

This 2,500-square-foot location has a drive-thru, some great outdoor seating, and offers all of the delicious food and coffee one would expect from Starbucks.

Downtown Huntsville Starbucks gets go-ahead

Another new Starbucks location — coming soon — took a step forward this week when the Huntsville Planning Commission approved the new store at the Constellation community development downtown.

The mixed-use development includes 219 luxury apartment units ranging from studio to three-bedroom and a parking deck, and as of this week will also apparently include a Starbucks.

This will be the second downtown Huntsville location taking shape, with the largest Starbucks location in the state set to open at Autograph Collection Hotel on Monroe Street sometime later this year.
