Alabama’s largest steel subcontractor, FabArc Steel Supply, has officially moved into Decatur, adding important fabrication capacity within the region during one of North Alabama’s most active construction periods to date.

The Oxford-based company announced a lease-purchase agreement on May 11 for the 60,000-square-foot Turner Industries fabrication facility on approximately 29 acres at 127 Old Highway 24 in the city’s northwestern area.

FabArc and Turner leaders emphasize the collaborative nature of the agreement and how it will ultimately serve the region’s construction industry better.

“It marks the beginning of a strong and lasting relationship between FabArc and Turner Industries. This opportunity allows us to build on an established foundation in Decatur while continuing to deliver high-quality fabrication services to our clients. We are confident this partnership will create lasting value for both companies and the communities we serve.”
FabArc President and CEO Tom Adams

“After several years in our Decatur office, we are transitioning to a flexible, region-wide operational model. Our address in the area will change, but our commitment to the Tennessee Valley and our clients in the region is as strong as ever.”
Turner Industries CEO Stephen Toups
