Before we turn our attention to February eats (including Valentine’s Day dinners), let do a quick recap of January’s best.

This month, we tried new places around Huntsville—and we don’t regret a single one. Here’s our team’s number-one picks for Huntsville eats in January.

1. Southern Egg Roll at Superhero Chefs

“This is the Southern Egg Roll from Superhero Chefs in MidCity. Chicken, mac & cheese, collard greens, all in an egg roll. Delicious.”

Michael Seale, Managing Content Producer

2. The Sonny at Valentina’s Pizzeria + Wine Bar

“We finally tried Valentina’s earlier this month after hearing about their award-winning pizza for months now, and I was not disappointed! We went for The Sonny, which is topped with soppressata and drizzled with house-made hot honey. Every bite was perfection. It’s definitely worth drive into Limestone County!”

Emily Phillips, Content Producer

3. Pan-Seared Atlantic Salmon at Char

This was some of the best salmon I’ve ever had. It had a subtle, not-too-fishy flavor with the crispiest edges and the juiciest, flakiest interior. The sun-dried-tomato chutney on top added a fresh, unique flavor that made this dish really stand out.

4. Asian Bourbon Glazed Ribs at Fusion Barbecue

“I didn’t know what to expect when I ordered this flavor, but I loved the perfect blend of sweet and savory flavor. Thanks to Carson at Fusion for the recommendation!”
