Toyota Alabama plant has now rolled off 10 million engines
Toyota Alabama in Huntsville officially assembled its 10,000,000th engine, an i-Force MAX 2.4-liter, to power an all-new hybrid Tacoma. The engine plant, which first broke ground in 2001, assembles a third of all Toyota engines in North America.

Toyota’s 2,000 team members in Huntsville assemble upwards of 777,000 engines a year, and the plant has continued to grow since it opened.
The company recently announced that it will expand its production capabilities which will add 350 jobs to its plant with the addition of new lines for drivetrain products.

Great news for auto manufacturing in Alabama
Toyota Alabama supplies engines to several Toyota vehicle plants in North America. The engines power the Corolla, Highlander, RAV4, Sequoia, Sienna, Tacoma and Tundra..
