Try these amazing November hikes in Huntsville

With autumn in full swing (at least for now), take the opportunity to get outdoors in North Alabama — it’s simply gorgeous this time of year — and to one of the many hiking trails in the area.
Here are some guided hikes you can take with a local hiking expert:
Wade Mountain – Nov. 2
If you haven’t seen it yet, you definitely need to try a hike up the Devil’s Racetrack Trail. The view is amazing, and this guided hike is one of the best November hikes in the area.

Foraging Hike at Blevins Gap – Nov. 9
Join forager Casey Lanier at the Fanning Trailhead of Blevins Gap to search out the late autumn plants and fungi that can be harvested and prepared at home.

Rainbow Mountain – Nov. 9
Participants during this hike will travel along one of the most popular trails on the preserve, Rainbow Loop Trail. This hike’s route will cover nearly the entirety of that trail with the exception of a short detour to Balance Rock Trail.

Naturalist Hike at Monte Sano
This family-friendly hike will begin at the Cleermont Trailhead and follow the trail to its end with many stops along the way to discuss the natural beauties of Monte Sano.

Green Mountain – Nov. 23
Come and check out Land Trust’s newest trail on Green Mountain Nature Preserve. Beginning at the Astalot trailhead, be prepared for a beautiful morning climbing the west side of Green Mountain.
