Are you looking for a way to burn some calories and make some room for your big Turkey Day feast? There are several Turkey Trots across North Alabama where you can get a run in while supporting amazing causes and organizations.
1. Crisis Services of North Alabama
Crisis Services of North Alabama is celebrating its 30th Annual Turkey Trot to raise funds for their crisis counseling services that assist victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Tickets are currently $25, but prices will increase after November 10.

2. Theatre Turkey Trot
Bring your turkey-themed costumes run along the Aldridge Creek Greenway this Thanksgiving morning! All proceeds will go towards Around the Curtain Community Children’s Theatre, a volunteer-run facility that provides an outlet for children’s creativity.

3. Trax4MAX Turkey Trot 5k
Trax4MAX was formed in memory of Max Barnett, an avid runner in the Florence community who passed away in 2020. Proceeds from this event benefit the YMCA of the Shoals, where Barnett served on the board for 17 years.

4. Turkey Trot of Morgan County
3M Decatur is hosting the 9th Annual Turkey Trot of Morgan County, where you can sign up for a 5K run, a one-mile Fun Run or simply buy a t-shirt for $15 if you aren’t able to participate but want to support the organization.
