This past week, we were fortunate enough to welcome six new businesses to the Huntsville area, as these new members of the community either opened or announced an opening recently.

Check out these newcomers to the business community:

1. Bus Stop Coffee

Although saying Green Bus Brewing is one of the new businesses in the area would be false, Green Bus Brewing’s latest business venture is definitely new. The popular downtown brewery opened a coffee shop inside its tasting room, called Bus Stop Coffee. This is a welcome addition after the recent closing of Offbeat Coffee Studio and Rocket Rooster’s Coffee N’ Go in the Huntsville area.

2. Sweat 440

Sweat440, a new gym devoted to high intensity interval training (HIIT), opened last week in Huntsville on Memorial Parkway. The popular fitness chain already has a location in Madison, and now expands its footprint into Huntsville.

3. Lowe’s Outlet Store

The Lowe’s Outlet of Huntsville has new, minor to moderately damaged, discontinued and slightly used items. In addition to convenient shopping with the added expertise of Lowe’s Red Vest associates, delivery, hookup, and haul away services are available.

4. Southern Hearth + Grills

Southern Hearth & Grills has operated on University Drive for more than 40 years. But they have a new location on Hollow Rd. in Huntsville that’s holding a grand opening event Sept. 9.

5. Southern Table – Athens

Southern Table, described as “elegant Southern cuisine,” is relocating from Pulaski, Tenn., to downtown Athens. This restaurant has an amazing menu and should be a valuable addition to the area’s culinary scene.

6. Dutch Bros. Coffee – Decatur

Beltline Road in Decatur is now home to the first Alabama Dutch Bros, but the popular chain from Oregon has three more Huntsville area locations scheduled to open this fall.
