Where some Huntsville-area apartment projects stand right now

New apartments keep popping up throughout the Huntsville area, and while some have just broken ground, there are others about to open up for tenants.

Here’s where some of these apartment projects in the Huntsville area currently stand:

The Gallery

The Gallery at Lowe Mill officially opened this week, a few months behind schedule, but in time for the summer.

Here are a few tidbits on The Gallery at Lowe Mill:

  • Construction began early last year on the complex.
  • The Gallery at Lowe Mill includes 107 units.
  • The complex is a mixture of two-bedroom, one-bedroom and studio apartments.
  • Owners are negotiating the lease of 2,900 square feet of restaurant space beneath the apartment homes.

Arcadia

The Arcadia, at 4810 Bradford Drive, aims to be a premier mixed-use development. Ground was broken on this project in September of 2022.

In addition to retail and office space at the Arcadia, residents will enjoy amenities like:

  • Private balconies with great views.
  • Saltwater pool with lounging deck.
  • 19K square feet of office/retail/restaurant space.

Residential leasing for the Arcadia will begin this summer with move-ins expected this fall.

Front Row

One of the larger apartment projects in the Huntsville area is breaking ground officially in April. Front Row will be sprawled across three sizable city blocks, converging around the Von Braun Center along Clinton Avenue at the site of the former Coca-Cola bottling plant.

Front Row’s $220 million first phase will be an 11+ acre mixed-use development will include:

  • 545 high-end residential units
  • 36,000 square feet of office space
  • 47,000 square feet of retail space
  • Two six-story buildings housing the residential, office and retail component with a central urban green space for outdoor dining, community activities and public art
  • Convenient location across from the Von Braun Center and in the middle of downtown

The Stella

The Stella, located along Pratt Avenue in Five Points, will offer street level retail and a restaurant underneath 352 units — which will include studios, one bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. The retail space will be about 3,500 square feet. This is one of the apartment projects that is opening in just a few months.

Although originally slated to open in spring of 2024, the project is expected to be complete by this summer.
