City now closing roads ahead of Panoply Arts Festival

The Panoply Arts Festival is this weekend, and with this being one of the largest and most popular events hosted in the Rocket City, some roads around Big Spring Park will close this week.
Here’s what to know:
Road closures during Panoply Arts Festival week

To ensure the safety of festivalgoers and allow for proper setup and breakdown, the following traffic adjustments will be in effect:
Monday, April 21 at 8 a.m.
- Williams Avenue westbound will close from Church Street to Dr. Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard.
Wednesday, April 23 at 12 p.m.
- Church Street will close from Parking Garage M, 100 Church St., to Williams Avenue.
Friday, April 25 – Sunday, April 27
- Monroe Street will be restricted to southbound traffic only from Clinton Avenue to Williams Avenue.
All roadways are expected to reopen by 5PM on Monday, April 28.
HPD encourages drivers to use caution in the area, observe all detours and signage and allow additional time for travel.
