WorldAtlas named Athens one of the best places to live in Alabama

Athens continues to top WorldAtlas lists.

The national publication named Athens one of the nine best places to live in Alabama. It adds award to Athens’ long and growing list of accolades.

Which other Alabama cities made WorldAtlas’ list?

Eight other Alabama cities made the WorldAtlas list of “Best Places to Live in Alabama in 2024.” They are:

  • Alabaster
  • Northport
  • Daphne
  • Homewood
  • Prattville
  • Phenix City
  • Mountain Brook
  • Helena

This means Athens is the only city in North Alabama to make the list.
