Well, fellow Huntsvillians, we have almost made it through another week and with the weekend approaching, you’re probably wondering what to do kn the Rocket City over the next few days.

Live Music
Speaking of fun things to do in Huntsville this weekend, there’s always some good live music here in the Rocket City, and this weekend is no exception. Check out these shows coming up over the next few days:
- Lauren Daigle: April 14, Orion Amphitheater, 7PM. Lauren Daigle had to cancel her show a few months ago due to an illness, but she is back at the Orion!
- Jim Parker’s Songwriters Series: April 14, Mars Music Hall, 7PM. Jim Parker hosts some of the best songwriters in the business in this ongoing series.
- Microwave Dave: April 15, Yellowhammer Brewing, 6PM. The one and only Huntsville legend Microwave Dave is playing Saturday night at Yellowhammer!
- Crosby Cash: April 15, Stovehouse, 6:30PM. Don’t miss this performer, influenced by Amy Winehouse, Adele, Sam Smith, Corinne Bailey Rae and Etta James!
- Rocket City Bones’ International Trombone Week Concert: April 16, Shenanigans Comedy Theatre, 3PM. This performance will feature music from movies, jazz, musicals, Americana, and a special tribute tune to the victims of the 2011 tornadoes here in Alabama.

- Cinderella: April 14-16, Mark C. Smith Concert Hall, Fri. 7PM, Sat. 2PM & 7:30PM, Sun. 1PM. One of the most famous and beautiful ballets of all time, Huntsville Ballet Company tells the timeless story of Cinderella with majestic beauty and magical sets and costumes.
- Battle of the Buffalo: April 15, Big Spring Park, 12PM-5PM. Local restaurants and amateur cooks will compete with their tastiest wings in an effort to be crowned best of the Tennessee Valley
- Becky Robinson: April 14-15, Stand Up Live, 6:30PM. This hilarious writer, producer and comedian from California is on her “She Gone Tour.” Don’t miss it!
- Taylor Swift Night: April 15, Mars Music Hall, 9PM. Swifties can’t miss this event! It’s a Taylor Swift-themed dance party that is sure to be one of the best things to do in Huntsville this weekend!
- Pup Palooza: April 16, Orion Amphitheater, 1PM. The event will feature a supply drive for Greater Huntsville Humane Society, live music, food trucks, themed drink special, and local pup-friendly vendors.
Sports + Fitness
Spring is in the air and it’s a great tome to get out and get involved in some sports and fitness, right? Well there are several things to do in Huntsville this weekend that involve sports and activity. Check it out:
- Alabama A&M Baseball: April 14-16, Bulldog Field, 12PM. Alabama A&M hosts Florida A&M for three games this weekend.
- UAH Baseball: April 14-15, Charger Park, 12PM. UAH costs Valdosta State for a game Friday and a doubleheader Saturday!
- Salmon Run 5K: April 15, Downtown Huntsville, 1PM. This race takes place in downtown Huntsville to help support the Battle of the Buffalo.
- True South Rugby Championships: April 15-16, Rick Cooper Memorial Field, 7AM. Catch some top-notch rugby competition as the best of the best in True South Rugby go head to head.
- Whiskey Run: April 16, Palmer Park, 9AM. This event includes a 5K, 10K and half marathon in madison, starting at Palmer Park.
