The funding comes as part of the FY26 Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education, and Related Agencies (LHHS) Appropriations Act, which secured more than $5.74 million for the Alabama Community College System.

“These funds will allow us to expand high-demand training programs, enhance instructional capacity and continue delivering hands-on, career-ready education that meets the needs of employers across North Alabama. We are grateful for the support that enables Drake State to serve as a strong engine of opportunity for our students and community.”
