8 awesome spring festivals you need on your calendar

Spring is on our mind during this rainy weather, but these eight events have us excited for what’s coming up in the next few months.
Be sure to mark your calendar with some of these awesome festivals coming up.
Mardi Gras at MidCity
Fat Tuesday is back this year and MidCity is the place to be. This event has tons of live music, a puppy parade and trivia night.

47th Annual St. Patrick’s Day
Huntsville’s 47th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade returns to the city this March. The 1.6 mile long parade will take place the night before St. Patrick’s Day in downtown Huntsville.

Huntsville Comic + Pop Culture Expo
The 9th Huntsville Comic & Pop Culture Expo will return to the Rocket City this April. Special guests include George Taki, Oscar Nunez, Kate Flannery, Tara Strong, Melanie Zanetti, David McCormack and more.

Battle of the Buffalo
This chicken wing festival is for a good cause. Join the brother of UAH’s Alpha Tau Omega fraternity in raising money for cancer research at the HudsonAlpha Foundation.

Space City Tattoo Expo
This celebration of tattoos recognizes artists from all across the world. You can expect live music, vendors, food and spirits, seminars and more.

Panoply Art Festival
Panoply is one of Huntsville’s biggest events of the year. The arts festival will feature over 100 different artists to the art marketplace and over 30 local musicians and bands. Plus, you can enjoy food trucks and participate in community art projects.

Greta Van Fleet
The American rock-band Greta Van Fleet is coming to Huntsville this May, and tickets are still available.

Alabama Jubilee Hot Air Ballon Classic
Admission and parking are free at this iconic Alabama event. Come to see the balloons or even take a ride in one of these unique aircrafts.
