The 470-acre Redstone Gateway development along Rideout Road near Redstone Arsenal’s Gate 9 continues to grow with the completion of 9700 Advanced Gateway, a 50,000-square-foot high-bay facility.

The facility’s general contractor, Birmingham-based construction firm Robins & Morton, and the development’s managing partner, COPT Defense Properties, made the announcement Tuesday, July 29, touting the facility as the first of its kind for the mixed-use, Class A office park and the closest available to the arsenal.

Read on for details about the new building and more at Redstone Gateway.

COPT Defense Properties Vice President of Asset Management & Leasing says the building is 100% leased, and the entire development is close to that mark.

“Redstone Gateway as a whole is 98.4% leased, demonstrating that the demand for space closest to the commands on Redstone Arsenal is strong.”

Specialized features + design

Nola Van Peursem Architects designed the pre-engineered metal building, configuring it with office space in the front and high-bay research and development areas throughout the rest, including capacity for trucks to dock or drive directly into the building.

“The completion of this project marks the delivery of another state-of-the-art facility as part of our longstanding partnership with COPT Defense Properties. We began serving our clients at Redstone Gateway in 2010, and we are excited for its continued growth.”
Nick James, Robins & Morton Project Manager
