Huntsville is home to several quality craft breweries, and according to a national wine and beer publication, the Rocket City is home to the best beer in Alabama.

VinePair recently published its list of “The One Beer You Should Bring Home From Every State” and a beer from Yellowhammer Brewing is apparently the one in Alabama you need to take with you.

According to the VinePair list, Yellowhammer’s Belgian White Ale is the beer in Alabama you need to take with you. And that is quite a compliment, considering the number of high-quality beers being brewed here in Alabama.

“There are tons of beloved brews that have seen nationwide distribution, especially since the start of the pandemic. But for many regional cans, that’s still not the case, which means a road trip may be in order to try them. That’s why we compiled a list of the beers you should take home with you from every state.”

The Beligian White Ale is described by Yellowhammer as “A Belgian-style wheat ale brewed with Thai lime leaves, ginger and chamomile flowers.” And it is one of the staples in the Yellowhammer lineup.

VinePair tried several craft beers across the state and decided Yellowhammer’s Beligian White was the one most worthy of taking home.

“Huntsville is home to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, the Huntsville Museum of Art, and as of 2010, Yellowhammer Brewing. Of its six year-round offerings, its Belgian White Ale — brewed with Thai lime leaves, ginger, and chamomile flowers — is perhaps the most iconic.”
