New Stadium Commons development on track for July 2026 completion
Reading time: 2 minutes

Construction on one of Huntsville’s most anticipated developments, Stadium Commons, is moving along nicely, as the multi-use development is still on pace for a July 2026 opening.
The $145 million project is truly a “mixed-use” development, with housing, a hotel, restaurants, retail and more. In case you aren’t familiar, here’s a little refresher:
What to expect at Stadium Commons

When Joe Davis Stadium received a much-needed upgrade (re-opening in time for the Huntsville City FC’s 2023 season), development plans for the surrounding area began soon after.
No time was wasted in making use of the prime location with Huntsville’s growing demand for sports tourism, additional housing and a new place to eat, play and live.
The Stadium Commons project includes:
- A 100-room hotel
- 70,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space
- 20,000 square feet of office space
- 200 loft-style multifamily housing units
Work on the first phase of the project (67,000 square feet of retail space and a 400-car parking garage) is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
