A new TJ Maxx store in Athens is opening soon and the clothing outlet is currently looking for employees at its new location. The retailer is holding a hiring event this week at Athens State University Launchbox downtown.

The new store, which is located in the Noon Athens development on U.S. 72 just east of I-65, is hiring for dozens of positions — part time and full time included — and interested potential employees can attend this hiring event this week to get the process started.

New development will bring in 100s of jobs
Businesses planned for the new retail development are TJ Maxx, Ross Dress for Less, Ulta Beauty and Five Below. These stores alone are expected to hire approximately 125 new employees.
The project is also expected to generate annual taxable sales of approximately $20 million.
