New poll lists Huntsville as a top September travel destination

We all know about Huntsville’s growth and the accolades the Rocket City has received in recent years for being a great place to live, but a recent poll has Huntsville listed as a top travel destination.
The Points Guy, a travel website, listed the Best Places to Travel in September, and the Rocket City made the list. Here’s more:
Best for September travel
Huntsville was not just listed among best places for September travel in the U.S. The Points Guy list includes cities all over the world.
Here’s the list, according to the new poll:
- Huntsville, Ala.
- Iceland
- Jackson Hole, Wy.
- Umbria, Italy
- Braemar, Scotland
- The Hamptons, New York
- Southern China
- Napa Valley, California
- Zurich, Switzerland
That is some pretty impressive company as far as travel destinations go. Huntsville made the list based in large part to the South Star Music Festival, set for Sept. 28-29 at John Hunt Park.
The festival features Gwen Stefani, Blink-182, Jane’s Addiction, Jimmy Eat World, Luducris, Sublime, and more.

This honor is just the latest in a series of accolades bestowed upon Huntsville. In the last couple of years, the City has been recognized for:
