Welcome these 7 new businesses to the Rocket City

This past week, we saw several new businesses open or announce an opening in the Huntsville area, including the first Chase Bank locations in Alabama.

Some new eateries are opening in the area and a re-opening was announced as well. Welcome these new businesses to the Rocket City:

1. Chase Bank

Two new Chase Banks are set to arrive in Huntsville and Madison by the end of the year — one at 6275 University Drive and another at 8160 Highway 72. These are the first Chase Bank locations in North Alabama. Both the Huntsville and Madison locations are expected to arrive by the end of the year.

2. Lowe’s Outlet

Lowe’s has long had a significant presence in the Huntsville area, but a new type of Lowe’s is coming to Huntsville. The Lowe’s Outlet — which sells merchandise from other Lowe’s stores that might have been slightly damaged in transit and are discounted up to 70 percent off.

3. The Veggie

The Veggie serves up mouth-watering vegan and vegetarian dishes. These are absolutely delicious menu items that appeal to anyone, not just those who prefer a vegan diet.

4. Culver’s

We reported last fall that Culver’s was among the new restaurants coming to Clift Farm, and now the new Culver’s location is open. Try their famous Butter Burgers and custard and you will be hooked.

5. Sushime Asian Bistro

Sushime Asian Bistro had a soft opening during 4th of July week, and is now open permanently on University Drive. Thus far, Facebook users have raved about the new Asian eatery.

6. Steam Boys

Nashville-based Steam Boys offers delicious Asian comfort food dishes like bao buns, dumplings and soups. The eatery will open its first Alabama location in Clift Farm soon.

Folks in the Huntsville area already know how good Slim Chickens is, as the chain already has two locations in Madison and one in Huntsville. Now, you can enjoy their tasty chicken tenders in Athens as well.
