Huntsville City FC season opener

The Huntsville City Football Club plays their home opener Friday night at Joe Davis Stadium against Orlando. Come cheer on your HCFC as they open their second season.

Drivin’ n Cryin’

Legendary indie artists Drivin’ n Cryin’ are playing Friday night at Furniture Factory, with special guests The Blips — a supergroup from Birmingham.

Hyldyr book reading and signing at Lowe Mill

Fans of Hyldyr books can’t miss this event. Hear readings from the series of Hyldyr books by the two authors. They will also be signing copies – available for purchase or if you already own a copy you’d like signed please bring it.

UAH baseball vs. Montevallo

Weekend events in the spring are always best with a little baseball added to the mix. UAH hosts Montevallo for three games — two Saturday and one Sunday.

‘Calm’ art exhibit

Huntsville Hospital is hosting this celebration of Women’s History Month — a collaboration with the Alabama Women’s Caucus of Art — with an amazing exhibition of art by local women artists.

The Huntsville Havoc are winding down the regular season before they start their playoff run. This weekend, they host Knoxville Friday night and Fayetteville Saturday night.

Hiking 101 at Monte Sano

Join Marcus Woolf, local author of “Hiking Huntsville” guidebooks, for an introduction to hiking that will cover what to bring, how to prepare for your hike, trail etiquette, safety tips and more. Participants will start with a short Hiking 101 at the pavilion then head out for a hike on Bluff Line Trail.

Stovehouse always has some cool weekend events happening. This weekend, catch a free show by the talented local musician, April Pendergrass.

Huntsville Symphony Orchestra presents ‘The Magic of Michael Grandinetti’

Mussorgsky, Saint-Saëns, and John Williams provide the orchestral soundtrack to this one-of-a-kind stage performance by the legendary illusionist Michael Grandinetti — renowned for his appearances on network television, in NFL and NBA half-time shows. He’s highlighting the weekend events here at the VBC with the Huntsville Symphony.

Youth Art Month Exhibit

This exhibition showcases nearly 200 exuberant works of art by youth in kindergarten through grade 12 from Huntsville City, Madison City, Madison County, Athens City, Limestone County, Decatur City, and Scottsboro City schools.
