Bridge Street Town Centre‘s holiday decor is a Huntsville tradition worth seeing. This year’s big event, the official kickoff of the holiday season at Bridge Street, is happening Friday, Nov. 18.

Brighter than ever

Past Lights Up! events have featured visits from the Grinch, snow, live music and more. Here’s what you can expect at this year’s event:

• Appearances from Santa + other holiday characters
• Friday Flurries + photo ops
• Live music from Big Daddy Kingfish
• Performances from local choirs
• Special giveaways

The event kicks off at 4:30PM and culminates at 7PM when Santa will assist in lighting Bridge Street’s 45-foot Christmas tree. Stick around though, because after the tree is lit, the light show begins.

Events all season long

Though Lights Up! is one night only, it kicks off more than a month of holiday cheer at Bridge Street Town Centre. As of now, the full slate of holiday programming includes:

Lights Up!

• When: Friday, Nov. 18, 4:30-7PM
• Special features: Live music, giveaways, an appearance from Santa

Friday Flurries

• When: Every Friday, Nov. 18-Dec. 23, 6-8PM
• Special features: Holiday photo op from Huntsville Glow

Magical Holiday Snowglobe

• When: Every Friday, Nov. 18-Dec. 23, 6-8PM
• Special features: Holiday characters, family photo ops

Holiday Light Show

• When: Friday, Nov. 18, 7PM; Shows every Friday + Saturday Nov. 19-Dec. 23 at 6, 7 + 8PM
• Special features: 10-minute holiday light show courtesy of Bluewood Productions and Holiday Lighting Solutions

Pet Photos with Santa

• When: Saturday, Dec. 3, 2-4PM
• Special features: Let your pet meet Santa + grab a photo for this year’s Christmas card. The only cost to you is a donation to Luna Farms Rescue!

Plus, make sure you’re saving receipts to participate in Spend Some Get Some through Nov. 20.
