Buckle up, Huntsville. This openings guide contains all the good stuff: restaurants, coffee and beer. There are some incredible new businesses opening up across Madison, Limestone and Morgan counties this week so make sure you check them out.

1. La Fuente Mexican Restaurant

La Fuente is a family owned Mexican restaurant with locations across southern Middle Tennessee. Their first Alabama location opened in Meridianville, and their Huntsville spot is ready for patrons.

2. 7 Brew in Decatur

Decatur will welcome its second 7 Brew location today–this one on 6th Avenue. New coffee shops have been popping up all over the River City, and 7 Brew will celebrate its grand opening with a “Swag Day” on Sat., Jan. 6.

3. Back Forty Beer Company

The wait is over and Back Forty officially opened in Huntsville this weekend. You can find the spacious taproom near John Hunt Park.

4. Scooters

More coffee! Scooter’s will open their second Huntsville location this Fri., Dec. 22. Their first location opened on Governor’s Drive in August of 2022. They also have locations in Athens and Decatur.

5. Guajara Rum

A new family owned distillery opened in Madison last week. Currently, they offer rum tastings, distillery tours and they host private parties. Wait ’til next spring when they plan to open a speakeasy.

6. Das Stal Kaffeehaus

Das Stal Bierhaus in South Huntsville has opened a coffee bar inside their space. Das Stal Kaffeehaus opened on Dec. 16 and serves responsibly sourced beans of the highest quality, according to their webpage.
