A 3-Day Kids Art Summer Camp

The Curious Artist Camp invites young creators to explore texture, color, recycled materials, and functional design in a welcoming studio environment. Over three creative mornings, campers will experiment with new techniques, build confidence, and create artwork they’re proud to take home.

With a maximum of 12 students, this small-group camp allows for individualized guidance, hands-on exploration, and plenty of room for curiosity to lead the way.

What We’ll Explore

🌿 Texture Hunters

We’ll head outside to discover natural textures and bring our findings back into the studio to create layered prints using simple printmaking techniques.

♻️ Recycled Mosaic Magnets

Campers will transform bottle caps and mixed materials into colorful mosaic magnets while exploring pattern, composition, and creative reuse.

🐉 Posca Monster Mugs

Students will design and decorate their own ceramic mug using professional Posca paint markers, combining character design with functional art.

What’s Included

The $225 fee covers the following in-class and take home supplies:

• All art materials
• Sketchbook
• Posca marker set
• Play dough
• Three completed projects
• Optional take-home creative prompts

What to Bring

• A snack and drink each day
• Clothes that can get messy

About the Instructor

Hannah Johnson is a certified educator with years of experience working with children of all ages. She is passionate about hands-on creativity and creating welcoming spaces where young artists can explore, experiment, and build confidence. Hannah brings a thoughtful, encouraging approach to the studio, helping campers try new techniques while having fun and taking pride in their work. She is proud to be part of the Huntsville creative community and loves creating opportunities for young artists to grow right here at Huntsville Art Supplies.
